Award of Excellence 2007
With more than 900 pool installations entered, Olympic Pools was one of the winners of a prestigious Gold Medal in the annual Association of Pool and Spa Professional (APSP) Awards of Excellence competition.
The landscape provided a magnificent view of a prairie and an elevation change that allowed the design to incorporate the illusion of a stream of water flowing from a copper fountain into the pool.
A free form shape with black plaster was used to create the look of a natural pond at the bottom of a quarry.
The pool features include generous lengths of steps and benches below the waterline for relaxing in the pool, a tanning rock, underwater lighting, extra skimmers to help keep the pool clean, and a water fall rock with adjustable water flow.
