About Olympic Pools
Founded in 1983, Olympic Pools has built pools, spas, and pool spa combinations for both residential and commercial customers. We are a custom pool builder so we work very hard with owners and landscape planners to come up with a pool or spa that makes sense for their family, landscape plan and budget. Our philosophy
No matter how much you enjoy your pool, you will be looking at it a lot more than you will be swimming in the pool. A clear vision of a landscape design can add a lot of value, visual appeal, and enjoyment to your investment. In almost all cases, a qualified landscaper designer can facilitate and add value to this process.
The value and cost of the pool is not specified by merely defining the size, depth, and square feet of deck around the pool. There is a difference in how pools are plumbed that affect the pool’s operating costs, water clarity and chemical usage. We build pools to meet the Minnesota Department of Health standards for flow, turnover rate, entrapment protection, and placement of returns. Unfortunately, very few residential pools meet the standards that are mandated by state code requirements for commercial pools.

We use diverter valves in lieu of ball valves, a separate booster pump for our pressure side cleaners to insure proper flow, and high capacity cartridge filters that are superior to sand filters in both filtration and water consumption.

Our lead field supervisor has been with Olympic Pools since 1984, is an American Concrete Institute Certified Nozzelman, and has completed training in the Genesis 3 Pool and Water Shape Construction School.

One of our employees is an instructor for the National Swimming Pool Foundation’s Certified Pool Operators training course for commercial pool operators.

The President, Jerry Kalin, is a CBP (Certified Building Professionals). This elite designation is the result of meeting the Association of Pool and Spa Professional’s (APSP) industry experience requirements, successfully passing a rigorous written examination, a commitment to long term industry continuing education and pledging to uphold the APSP’s Code of Ethics.

We service what we sell. Our field service technicians are APSP Level II certified and our lead service technician has been with Olympic Pools since 1989.

Olympic Pools employees have over 120 years of combined experience in the pool industry. We use our own personnel for all key phases of construction (rebar, Shotcrete, plaster, tile, automatic covers, service, water testing and balance), not subcontractors.
